
John Doyle has spent the last 25 yrs in Yancey County, North Carolina, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. John, a native Chicagoan, received his training at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he received a Foreign Traveling Fellowship, the first of many awards. He is known as a painter-printmaker whose work is exhibited in museums, institutions and corporate collections throughout the world.
His interest in people and cultures resulted in a series of original lithographs entitled "The Great Human Race" which are represented in the National Collection of Fine Art, The Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. His current aesthetic interest is in the Appalachian Culture of Western North Carolina. This interest is being depicted in paintings and murals. John L. Doyle is listed in Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who American Art.
Prices for John's art range from $250-$500 to over $1000. He sells his work through retail, consignment and commission. You can view his work at A Touch of Cass on Town Square in Burnsville.
